Patriarchy - what is it? Who benefits from it, who suffers from it? What does power (among men) look like today, which expectations are oppressive, which norms are violated and what does male allyship actually mean?

On November 25, the Office for Equal Opportunities, Department of Gender Equality, invites you to an evening on this topic. Katharina Linnepe will be our guest with her book Wenn das Patriarchat in Therapie geht, in which she shows how deeply rooted power relations and toxic images of masculinity shape our lives together - and how change is possible. In the subsequent panel discussion, we will delve deeper into why men are needed (yes!), what solidarity can look like and how we can overcome patriarchal violence.
