Ausstellung Anna Miethe: Biotopia im Raum für Freunde

In her installation work Biotopia, Anna Miethe (1990* USSR) invites us to contemplate a panorama of nature. Inspired by timeless museum dioramas, the artist questions their absurdity and our deep trust in an "unreliable narrator".

The work, conceived especially for the Raum der Freunde, shows a landscape full of mistakes and forgeries. It becomes almost impossible for visitors to distinguish between what exists in the wild and what is a construction. Miethe urges us not to leave perception unchecked, especially in a world in which the boundaries between "real" and "artificial" are becoming increasingly blurred.

From philosophical discourses in Hegel and Kant, to colonial perspectives and questions of authenticity in the age of AI: Biotopia offers space for reflection. Anna Miethe invites you to explore this personal nature by reading and walking through it. Or simply to have fun contemplating it.
