The exhibition invites you to rediscover Michael Jackson from different perspectives.

Michael Jackson was more than a musician, more than a dancer, more than a world star. He is a phenomenon of modernity - a mirror of its longings and its abysses, its utopias and its contradictions. In his figure, themes are condensed that still move us today: childhood and loss, skin color and identity, body and transformation as well as the tireless commitment to a socially just, peaceful and sustainable future.

With 250 photos, interviews, music videos, texts, documents, all albums, their production and reception history, LPs, singles, CDs, DVDs, documentation of all world tours, controversy surrounding the trials, the role of the media, the complete cinema version of the film THIS IS IT and much more, this exhibition bears witness to the incredible life and work of the King of Pop. At the same time, the exhibition offers a critical cultural-historical examination of the mechanisms of pop culture.
