In his figurative watercolors and drawings, Philip Dickmann explores the spaces between memory and transfiguration, between snapshots and their perception. In doing so, he increasingly distances himself from a supposed objectivity. He thus discovers the freedoms of the medium and approaches the realities of inner states all the more, which trigger the urge to capture, relive and evoke past experiences in the first place. philipdickmann.com
