Ausstellung: Sammlungsschaufenster #2

In the organizer's words:

"The scale of urban planning. The city as space" - this is the title of a handbook on urban planning by architect Peter Grund (1892 - 1966). The work was compiled during the Second World War in cooperation with the Soest pastor Paul Girkon, but was never published. Essential parts of the book eventually survived the destruction of the war, but ended up in various archives.

Today, the plans are kept in the collection of the Baukunstarchiv NRW. From August 27 to October 19, 2025, the exhibition "Collection Showcase #2" in the building's garden hall will be showing selected original plans and photos of the urban planning manual.

The presentation at the Baukunstarchiv NRW in Dortmund is part of the Collection Showcase series, in which selected media from the holdings of the BKA NRW are presented in an edited form.

The Baukunstarchiv NRW's collection now includes more than 120 bequests (as well as some pre-bequests). The BKA NRW presents findings from the cataloging of the estates and research activities in collection showcase exhibitions.
