Ausstellung STADT LAND FLUSS

The curators Sarah Dorkenwald and Karianne Fogelberg from UnDesignUnit explore the multifaceted relationships between people and nature in the city and its surroundings. They bring together selected contemporary positions from design, art and architecture that focus on different forms of coexistence. They include the Rathausgalerie with its former use as a ticket hall for fees between the city and its citizens.

In the place where payments were once made to the city, they invite visitors to reflect on the question: "What is nature worth to me?"

In the context of climate change and biodiversity, new fee models can be playfully devised and discussed. Visitors can join in at a ticket booth and a game board and explore the themes of the exhibition in greater depth.

Selected works by Judith Egger, Ute Heim, Verena Hägler & Nicola Reiter, Adrien Missika, Office for Micro Climate Cultivation, Kat Petroschkat, Raumlabor, Studio Animal Aided Design and Studio Ossidiana will be on display.

With their Munich-based studio UnDesignUnit, Sarah Dorkenwald and Karianne Fogelberg investigate design processes as catalysts for sustainable social transformation. Together they conceive new discursive and participatory formats and exhibitions with which they convey complex contemporary issues and make them tangible. In doing so, they work with skills and methods from design and design theory at the interface with other disciplines and forms of knowledge.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a program in German, English and German sign language.
