Ausstellung: Tine Pockels – Tuchfühlung

In the organizer's words:

The term "Tuchfühlung" has two aspects and describes, on the one hand, moments of closeness and, on the other, the feeling and touching of a fabric. Both aspects play an important role in the paintings of artist Tine Pockels. Discarded clothing and fabrics are piled up to form landscapes and their surface is penetrated by painting. The size of the works of art creates proximity and brings form and color to the fore. Then again, the fabric becomes the painting ground of itself and revolves around the interplay of object and subject, as we know it from trompe-l'œil painting.

With the armed conflicts from 2022, bullet casings become visible under the golden fabrics. In Tine Pockels' work, the gold background becomes a projection surface of our time, in which beguiling splendor and abundance dazzle us and bullet casings (death) mingle with sweets (sweetness).

Tine Pockels, winner of art prizes, has been represented in numerous group and solo exhibitions.

Viewing times for paintings in the corridor and foyer: usually Mon - Fri, 11:00 - 18:00. Paintings in the hall can be viewed when it is free. You are welcome to make an appointment.
