Ausstellungseröffnung: Future Continuous – Hamburger Arbeitsstipendium für bildende Kunst 2025

In the organizer's words:

The working scholarship for visual arts of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg provides an exciting insight into the city's art production and its current developments. The final exhibition Future Continuous will present the works produced by the 2025 scholarship holders during their funding period, accompanied by the Kunsthaus Hamburg. In spatial, sound and video installations, they address pressing issues of the present; from the investigation of ecological interdependencies or the use of artificial intelligence to the examination of psychiatric history and questions of intimacy and collective care.

The Hamburg Ministry of Culture and Media has been supporting promising Hamburg artists with the work grant since 1981. In 2025, the associated exhibition will take on a new direction under the title Future Continuous: the focus will be on supporting artistic production, strengthening visibility and creating fruitful connections - between the participating artists themselves and in dialog with external curators, authors and the public. Year after year, new spaces of possibility and connections are created that are worth discovering.
