Autorenlesung in Dreieichhain

In the organizer's words:

Author Armin Achtmann presents his novel "Das ist nicht das Rohe vom Ei" at the Dreieichenhain District Library. The book tells the story of two 18-year-old friends, Rainer and Ludwig, who make friends with art students Nicole and Steffi in the Linientreu discotheque on a cold winter's day in January 1983.

An invitation to an art project with horror story photos leads the two young men to Neukölln, where they witness a robbery. This develops into a chain of events that leads Rainer and Ludwig into the dark abysses of Berlin. In their search for the perpetrator, they come across dangerous secrets and a suspected police informer.

In addition to the exciting plot, the novel also sheds light on the attitude to life, the social structures and the particular challenges of West Berlin in the 1980s. Armin Achtmann combines elements of a coming-of-age novel with those of a crime novel and gives the story a strong Berlin flavor.
