Can the concepts of light and resurrection be captured musically? In this parable about the life of Siddharta Gautama and his transformation into Buddha, authors David Rudkin and Param Vir dare to push the boundaries of what can be presented in music theater. The composer Param Vir masterfully combines Western and Eastern sound aesthetics to create a dramatic narrative about devotion, fear and faith.
