Bach in Space

Distant galaxies, star nebulae, black holes - the universe closer than ever! On a huge screen, razor-sharp NASA images shine in colors otherwise only seen in science fiction films. Mona Asuka, one of the outstanding pianists of her generation, plays the music of Johann Sebastian Bach live - sometimes powerful, sometimes delicate, always surprising. The result: a concert that feels like a journey through space and time.

Image and music merge, the gaze wanders into infinity - and suddenly Bach's music seems so modern and timeless, as if it had just been written for this very moment. The first performances in Munich have already shown how exciting the concept is: "An unearthly Bach" wrote the Münchner Merkur. And the "Kultur in München" portal reported: "The people of Munich are visibly captivated during the performance - by the vastness and depth of the crystal-clear, high-resolution images, by the finely curated selection of Bach's repertoire, by the precise realization."

Bach in Space comes to Eurogress Aachen for the first time in January 2026. The program will include highlights such as excerpts from the "Well-Tempered Clavier", the "Goldberg Variations" and the "Italian Concerto". Great classics - experienced anew, in a setting that guarantees goosebumps.
