Bad Omens

Few bands have become as big a phenomenon in recent years as Bad Omens. Founded in 2015 as a metalcore band in Richmond, Virginia, the band led by singer Noah Sebastian has set a benchmark for modern alternative metal with its strong industrial influences and emotionally charged and catchy sound. With their third album "The Death of Piece of Mind", which won them the Heavy Music Award for Best Album in 2023, the band achieved their final breakthrough in 2022. The platinum-certified song "Just Pretend" as well as the title track "The Death of Piece of Mind" and "Like A Villain" became the biggest hits of the US-Americans, who have been scaling up their success with every new release since 2015. Bad Omens was founded in 2015 by singer Noah Sebastian, bassist Vincent Riquier (until 2018), guitarist Joakim Karlsson, Nicholas Ruffilo (the band's bassist since 2018) and drummer Nick Folio and signed to Sumerian Records after the release of their first demo. The band enjoyed great success on their debut album "Bad Omens" with songs such as "The Worst In Me", "Exit Wounds" and "Glass Houses", and their aggressive and raw metalcore sound proved convincing on subsequent tours. In 2019, the second album "Finding God Before God Finds Me" was released, with fan favorites such as "Careful What You Wish For" and "Dethrone", clearly following on musically from the debut. The deluxe version of the album followed in 2020, revealing further hits with the previously released singles "Never Know" and "Limits". After Bad Omens had to cancel their US headline tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they focused on their third album. "The Death of Piece of Mind" was released in 2022 and, with songs such as the title track, "Just Pretend", "Like A Villain" and "Nowhere to Go", marked the final breakthrough to the international forefront of modern metalcore thanks to several viral successes on TikTok. To date, the album has generated more than 1.2 billion streams on Spotify alone. streams alone. 2024 saw the release of "Concrete Jungle [The OST]", on which Bad Omens collaborated with Poppy, HEALTH, ERRA and Thousand Below, among others.

In 2025, Bad Omens are much more than a successful metalcore band. They are a globally acclaimed phenomenon, exploring the realms of their own emotions with a unique sound that sets no boundaries. On their latest single "Specter", Bad Omens once again devote themselves to darker sounds, which are drawn even deeper into the industrial sound in an emotional and atmospheric ballad. The impact a new album will have can only be imagined at the moment. However, the fact that Bad Omens are going on an arena tour in December is already an indicator of the league the band has long since played themselves into.
