BAITS - On the Run

BAITS oscillate between punk energy, pop instinct and the sweaty charm of the 90s, with lots of raw energy and a well-placed edge - raw, melodic and always a little unpredictable.

With tracks like "Sleep with You" or "Take Me Out", they have not only conquered the FM4 radio station, but have also reached international playlists and even movie screens (see MOND, 2024, directed by Kurdwin Ayub). Their uncompromising debut "Never Enough" (2021) was followed in 2024 by their current, acclaimed album "All Filler No Killer", which not only sounds incredibly good, but also never gets boring.

Live, BAITS deliver an intense experience every time, feeling more like an empowering liberation than a stale punk rock routine. Carried by the powerfully emotive vocals of Sonja Maier, BAITS' sound is a perfect blend of anger and melancholy, pulsating with an overwhelming energy reminiscent of iconic bands like The Distillers, Pixies, PJ Harvey and a touch of Jay Reatard.

They have proven all this on around 200 large and small stages in Europe (AT, DE, CH, FR, NL, IT, CZ, SK, HU) in recent years. They were also nominated for the Austrian music award Amadeus in the Hard/Heavy category in 2024 and 2025. BAITS are currently working on fresh songs in a new line-up to really go one better in 2026.
