To mark the closing of the exhibition on Susan Sontag, the House of St. Laurent, in cooperation with the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn and local and international players in the ballroom scene, invites you to a multifaceted weekend on ballroom culture.
The program combines theoretical reflections, practical experiences and empowerment measures. The aim is to strengthen the ballroom communities in North Rhine-Westphalia and at the same time to provide the city of Bonn with a well-founded introduction and a first point of contact with ballroom culture. A particular concern is to increase the visibility of ballroom culture, create low-threshold entry opportunities and recognize the diversity of queer forms of expression.
This weekend program also serves as an exchange between the local ballroom scene in NRW and representatives of the Belgian and Dutch ballroom communities on various levels: through a panel talk, workshops and a vogue night.
