Band Night: Lutett / Trichome

In the organizer's words:

Lutett - four sound seekers from China and Germany who came together at the HfMT Hamburg. In their music, they blur the boundaries between improvisation and composition in a playful way, developing their very own language: lively, honest, energetic - and always carried by a deep connection to the jazz tradition.

Trichrome explores the subtle tensions between cultures, characters and sound. The trio consists of three colors: three musicians from China as well as from Ecuador and Colombia in South America - an encounter across great distances, characterized by differences and resonance. With a feel for space, texture and quiet intensity, they create music beyond fixed categories - grounded and at the same time flexible, fragile and yet determined. Restraint, sonic dialog and a shared curiosity for the invisible characterize their musical approach.
