Step into the inn "Zum Schwan von Pesaro", where Master Figaro - sorry, Figarossini - holds all the strings in his hand! As composer, set designer, cook and barber all in one, he plays with his characters, conducts the chaos and serves up Rossini's masterpiece with a good pinch of humor.

Background
In 1816, Gioacchino Rossini's The Barber of Seville celebrates its world premiere. Love, jealousy, male rivalry - the opera buffa, or comic opera, is exciting and thrilling. And it was to be Rossini's greatest success! In fact, the composer no longer devoted the second half of his life to music, but to fine dining. Until his death, he was a passionate cook. To this day, we know many dishes "à la Rossini". He is also known for his humorous, lovable character. In his Italian hometown of Pesaro, he is also known as the "Swan of Pesaro".

New version
Inspired by Rossini's life story, Florian Hackspiel creates the Figarossini in his production of The Barber of Seville. In him, the brilliant composer and gourmet merge into one person. Figarossini invites the audience to his latest production in the restaurant "Zum Schwan von Pesaro". The famous opera thus becomes a lively puppet show, full of tempo and musical esprit. But while the men are making plans and spinning intrigues, they are reckoning without Rosina.

In the spirit of Munich's smallest opera house, Florian Hackspiel and Andreas P. Heinzmann create an opera in German that is very close to the audience. A feast for the senses, rousing, playful and surprisingly topical - The Barber of Seville as you have never experienced it before!
