Barth / Benschu / Intrau

Melanie Barth on accordion, Ralf Benschu on saxophone and Karsten Intrau on classical guitar present a wonderfully entertaining program of acoustic music. The musicians tastefully mix influences from South American music with European folk music and jazz. With great expressiveness, a lot of intuition and at a high technical level, they reinterpret this music, improvise and thus create an unmistakable sound. They move musically between the Tango Nuevo of Astor Piazola, the French musette of Richard Galliano and Yann Tiersen, as well as other genres of world music.
All three musicians studied classical music at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin and then worked in various national and international formations and orchestras. They have performed regularly on the Theaterschiff on Eternity Sunday for several years and have achieved cult status.
