Bass meets Harp

In the organizer's words:

Unusually for a classically trained musician, Miroslava, who already had a position as a solo harpist in the orchestra at the age of 21, is also at home in jazz and improvisation. Together with bassist and composer Lisa Wulff, who in addition to her regular collaboration with Nils Landgren, Rolf Kühn and Christof Lauer is also a frequent guest in the NDR Big Band, the result was a very exciting and unusual program of her own compositions and jazz standards specially arranged for the instrumentation. The sound world of the harp, which is not usually found in jazz, opens up completely new possibilities for bass playing and gives rise to a colorful program of spherical sounds, polyphonic melodies and percussive grooves. We are particularly pleased to welcome this duo to frankfurtersalon together with the Jazz Initiative!
