Completely unimpressed by how people think rock music should sound or be performed, the two-man riff monster BEEHOOVER mills its way through a wild landscape of distortion, noise, harmony, lyricism and riff, riff 'n' riff as the world's most brutal mini-orchestra with brutal bass, striking vocals and swirling drums. Complex, varied, exciting, unwieldy - then catchy and danceable again at the right moment. Intricate, weird, groovy, dreamy - and above all gripping. Nothing gets lost in aimless fiddling, but always gets to the point. And it's powerful!

The band from southern Germany is said to sound like a bastard of the Melvins, Tool, Crowbar, Helmet and NoMeansNo. The matching lyrics deal with whale explosions, lighthouse keepers, declarations of love through mixtapes or beating the devil out of hell - all in all pleasantly poor in attitude, pathos & clichés, but full of subtle wit, scurrility & joy of playing - here & today in a hair-raising #doublepack with:

After their long-playing records "Verbau" and "Maschinenhafen", the 10″ mini-album "Sperrwerk" by Dortmund instrumental doom noise trio ORT was released in 2025 by My Proud Mountain, a Hamburg label with roots in Dortmund. It is even more epically composed, even more atmospheric than its predecessors.

A video single version of the track "Heuvel" had already caused a stir before the vinyl release, and the bonus CD, which is part of the regular release package, expands on the Ruhr city trio's experimental tendencies with an industrial dub remix that is also epic in length - but don't worry: the band continues to be their usual brutal self.
