Werke von Berio und Debussy mit Matthias Pintscher

Incessant research and exploration in the fund of music history is an essential feature of Luciano Berio's compositional approach. In "Sinfonia", the most important representative of Italian modernism, who would have celebrated his 100th birthday on October 24, 2025, leads his meticulous search for traces to an organic culmination point in music history. Quotations from the baroque to the avant-garde are interwoven using sophisticated collage techniques. Eight vocal soloists from the Cantando Admont vocal ensemble, which specializes in contemporary music, guarantee the perfect fusion of orchestra and human voice, just as Berio intended in the etymological sense of "sinfonia" (harmony). The music of Claude Debussy, who worked with timbres, symbolism and poetic associations in his "Images" in a similar way to Berio, also undergoes a transformation. Matthias Pintscher introduces himself to the Munich Philharmonic with these two epochal milestones of impressionism and modernism.
