Christmas is a time for telling stories. And no one does it better than Bernd Schwarze. Whether it's about the camel Mahdiya, the filming of the miracle of Bethlehem or a strange gathering of magicians. Heart-warming, contemplative, poetic and with a twinkle in his eye, Bernd Schwarze varies the motifs of the Holy Night and interweaves them with human destinies that touch and inspire reflection.

Bernd Schwarze, born in Lübeck in 1961, studied Protestant theology. He completed his time at the University of Hamburg with a doctorate on religious motifs in pop culture. He has worked as a pastor in Lübeck city center for over twenty years. In 2021, he published the crime novel "Mein Wille geschehe" (My Will Be Done) with Knaur, based on a joint idea with Sebastian Fitzek, which was on the Spiegel bestseller list for four weeks.
