Best of Poetry Slam

Poetry slam is no longer an insider tip. On the one hand, the modern poetry competition is now listed as an intangible UNESCO World Heritage Site, but on the other hand it is still young, on the pulse of the times, topical, political, critical and funny.

Best of Poetry Slam, on the other hand, is the Champions League of the most popular literary format of our time and has long been an integral part of the Volkstheater program as well as a fixed date for all slam fans.

This is where you can see slam legends and the most exciting new stars of the scene, where dozens of championship titles and hundreds of slam victories come together on one stage. Four of the most renowned slam poets or slam teams face each other in a top-class battle of poets and fight for the title.

Taking part on 15 MAR:The multiple award-winning author, reading stage legend and Belin/Brandenburg poetry slam champion KIRSTEN FUCHS (Berlin), the European runner-up and German-language poetry slam champion ANURAJ SRI RAJARAJENDRAN (Landau), the Austrian poetry slam champion DAVID SAMHABER (Vienna) and TERESA REICHL (Regensburg), who has since achieved fame and glory as a cabaret artist and won the German Cabaret Award.

The evening will be rounded off by the Erfurt musician FRIEDERIKE.
