Who will be Frankfurt Song Slam Champion 2025? At the Best of Song Slam Frankfurt, the winners of the previous Song Slam season from all over Germany will come together for the first time for a top-class annual finale. Rhyme meets groove, word meets sound, voice meets chord, beat meets melody. A song slam works like a poetry slam - only with music.

Singer-songwriters of all styles compete solo or as a duo with their own compositions. Everything is allowed: Indie folk, pop, chanson, rock'n'roll, punk, rap, funk, soul, jazz or musical - the main thing is real, handmade and live. The choice of instruments is also free. In the preliminary round, an audience jury will decide who goes through to the final. There, only one thing counts: the applause!

Presented by Dirk Hülstrunk and Jürgen Klumpe, who are among the pioneers of the poetry and song slam scene in Germany. They have been organizing and hosting poetry slams in Frankfurt since 1998. Since 2013, Dirk Hülstrunk and the Kulturnetz Frankfurt e.V. association have been organizing the song slam in cooperation with various venues. From the beginnings in the Zoom Club to the Orange Peel Club to the International Theater and currently in Club Ono2 - the song slam has been able to inspire a steadily growing fan base everywhere. It is one of the audience highlights at the annual Sommerwerft Theater Festival on the banks of the Main in Frankfurt. Song slam formats have contributed to the popularization of the singer-songwriter genre throughout Germany.
