After two successful editions in 2023 and 2024, Between Books will take place for a third time at Kunsthalle Düsseldorf from September 19 to 21, 2025!
Independent art book publishers, artists, independent publishing/DIY collectives, organizations, associations, zines and magazines will present themselves to a broad audience in the exhibition rooms of Kunsthalle Düsseldorf and show how versatile, exciting and contemporary the medium of the book can be.
The focus is on the local and regional publishing scene, but protagonists from all over Germany and neighboring European countries will also be represented.
The art book fair will be accompanied by an exciting and interactive supporting program with workshops, performances, talks and lectures.
Between Books is both a meeting place for discourse on (art) books, alternative forms of publication and publishing as a practice as well as a place to discover, browse and get to know each other.
The open call for applications for a stand has ended.
For the first time this year, exhibitors will be selected by a jury consisting of: Stefan Marx (artist), Lea Szramek (Verlag Kettler), Daniel Seemayer (Department of Typography, Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences), Juliane Hoffmanns (Curation & Exhibition Realization, Kunsthalle Düsseldorf) and Alicia Holthausen (Acting Artistic Director, Kunsthalle Düsseldorf).
