In the exhibition BETWEEN SKIN & SHADOW, DOBRO WITCZAK and BRUNO KÖNIG present two contrasting yet complementary approaches to a common theme.
Dobro Witczak shows delicate yet powerful works that oscillate between vulnerability, strength, gentleness and resistance. Dreamlike figuration is combined with symbolism and subtle surrealism; her watercolors explore femininity, myth, memory and quiet rebellion. By combining narrative and nuance, Dobro Witczak develops a visual language that is both raw and poetic. In contrast, König's direct, expressionist works immerse themselves in the immediacy of emotions. He uses gestures and abstraction to open up inner landscapes.
Despite their visual and technical differences, both artists explore the space between surface and depth - between lived and hidden identity.
