Presented by Jever Live: DJ Han-Tyumi serves up Blackbird Mantra, Mermaid Man, Marcel Gidote's Holy Crab - and concludes with his King Gizzard vinyl set.
Blackbird Mantra (Hamburg) combine psych-rock with contrasting songs that have already been compared to Television, The Doors or Timber Timbre. Their sound - between garage, country and dark psych - is released on the Hamburg label La Pochette Surprise Records.
Marcel Gidote's Holy Crab (Prague) have been mixing rock, kraut and jazz into a modern psychedelic sound cosmos since 2019. With their double album Sorcerers Laughing Out In The Heat and Europe-wide tours, they have established themselves as one of the most exciting Czech bands.
Mermaid Man (Berlin) is the project of Robin Heller(Sir Robin & The Longbowmen). The debut album Let's Dance To The End Of The World received rave reviews; the band is currently working on the new EP Salt (release November 2025) and is preparing a tour of Brazil. Their sound combines psychedelic garage, wave and soul into an eclectic, atmospheric mix.
DJ Han-Tyumi will then take over and play King Gizzard - including trippy visuals and other Gizzverse acts such as The Murlocs, Pipe Eye, Bullant, Cavs and ORB. A listening party where you can also dance, shout along and jump around.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are one of the most productive and diverse bands of our time: since their formation in 2010, the Australians have released 27 (!!!) studio albums - from psychedelic rock to thrash metal and jazz to electronic and microtonal sounds. Their music is experimental, energetic and hypnotic - an experience on vinyl.
