Maya and the 7 Big Bonsai

Maya is persecuted by her stepmother for her beauty and unmistakably wonderful jazz voice and is spared by a GEMA hunter. In the forest she finds refuge in the house of the seven musicians of BIG BONSAI, who have very different characters:

the first, Christoph Krieger, is vigilant and always hits the "2" on his drum right on time; the second, Valerie Kohlmetz, is rather curious, and stretches goatskin on his wooden pots or sticks an electric cable into the one he bangs on; the third is Scheltinga, always hungry for something new, he practises the world's greatest third on his trombone every day, the fourth, Jürgen Dahmen, is critical, he always chooses carefully between black and white keys and sometimes he steps on a piece of metal on the floor because it makes such a nice "bssssst" sound.

The fifth is Konstantin Wienstroer, who could have learned to play the flute but opted for the double bass, the sixth is Wolfgang Klüfer, who is cautious, in constant fear of missing a beautiful note, he blows into everything that comes out and the seventh is Paul Shigihara, who is particularly kind and protective, keeping the crazy bunch on course with his innate musicality.

BIG BONSAI records Maya for the first time for the KIT Café when it provides for her household. A close bond soon forms: she brings order and warmth to their lives, while each musician shows care in their own way. However, they explicitly warn Maya about the queen "Durterz" and ask it not to open up to anyone.

Despite this, the cunning stepmother manages to deceive Maya three times: with a heavy metal song, a record deal and finally an apple from Helene Fischer.

Twice Paul saves her life with a sound, but the third time she goes to the bar and falls asleep, and the grieving musicians place her in a glass coffin backstage and keep watch.

A great jazz standard finally frees Maya from the hit poison, and she marries him... oh, wait... who now? Sorry, I've lost it...

While the evil queen suffers her punishment - four years of John Coltrane on her ears, the eight musicians remain as silent heroes at KIT on November 8th - each one a friend, protector and companion for Maya.
