Michael Engler and Joëlle Tourlonias: "The two of us in winter"

Little people, big pictures: The popular series of events "Picture Book Cinema" takes place once a month and free of charge in the children's area of the Siegburg City Library and is suitable for all children interested in picture books. Places are limited. Registration is required per child and is possible at the earliest one week before the event via the button that is then activated. Please note that your children should ideally be accompanied by only one person in the children's library. You are welcome to visit our café or browse through our shelves yourself 😉.

Winter is just around the corner when the rabbit and hedgehog are shocked to discover that the entrance to their winter den is buried.

The squirrel also complains about the lack of nuts in his hiding place. How are the three of them supposed to survive the winter like this?

That's when they notice two strange animals that are actually munching on the squirrel's nuts. So weasel and beaver seem to be really bad rapscallions and cheats! Or... maybe they didn't mean any harm and can even help? Precisely because they are so different...?

"We Two in Winter" by Michael Engler and Joëlle Tourlonias (© 2019 by Bastei Lübbe AG) shows how good things can happen when tolerance and openness are practiced. When differences are not prejudged, but accepted.

Afterwards, you can play, paint and browse in the library until 5 pm. There are many more stories to discover on our shelves - you can even take them home with a library card.
