BIRDLAND BROTHERS

The likeable supergroup from Eimsbüttel can be seen at BIRDLAND far more often than Halley's comet, a total lunar eclipse or the Yeti - namely whenever the month has a fifth Wednesday.

The brothers Ralph (saxophone) and Wolff (drums) practically grew up in BIRDLAND and were able to experience pretty much all the jazz greats live and soak up their music and stories. Inspired by these masters of jazz, who were all individualists and often born entertainers, they quickly came to the conclusion: "Jazz is (unfortunately) the best music there is." - and of course the two became musicians.

Together with their long-time friends and companions Buggy Braune (piano), Gerold Donker (double bass) and Johannes Brachtendorf (trumpet), the BIRDLAND BROTHERS play homemade modern jazz that is both fresh and timeless - and accessible to all audiences. The rumors about their studies at the "Sheboygan Music Conservatory "* are made up, by the way, but the stories behind the music are true!
