"If we're honest, we're expendable, we don't matter." Blankofax from Duisburg make relentlessly direct DIY indie rock. The sound is reminiscent of guitar music from the 90s, somewhere between Hamburg School, grunge and shoegaze. The instrumentation: classic - drums, bass, guitar. The lyrics: sometimes angry, sometimes resigned, often political, always personal. So far, the band has recorded and produced three albums entirely on their own: "Alles Gute" (2022), "Wir bauen unsere Zukunft auf den Gräbern der Natur" (2024) and "Weiche Ziele" (2025). Yum Yum Youth from Wuppertal combine shoegaze with dreamy indie rock to musically capture themes such as self-doubt and resignation. Multi-voiced vocal melodies, guitar baths and a powerful rhythmic foundation together create an atmospheric tapestry of sound. With their debut album "Niemals mein Zuhause" (2025), Yum Yum Youth take the time and space to create a multi-layered and organic sound.
