On Thursday, April 30, it will be loud, hard, psychedelic and nostalgic in the music bar in the Bunker: at the double concert by Bloodflowers and Neumatic Parlo!

The fact that Bloodflowers can create cinematic worlds has been known since their debut album "NEBULA" (2023) and the accolade from Visions Magazine ("David Lynch would find inspiration here"). But anyone who thinks the band is resting on their laurels has not taken their current metamorphosis into account.

Harder, more uncompromising, louder. The Bloodflowers' new songs mark a turning point. While Indonesian singer and guitarist Nadia Wardi continues to provide the spiritual depth and captivating melodies, the band has turned the dial significantly to the right for the new recordings. The result is a sound that charges psychedelic rock with the raw energy of stoner rock and a new, edgy heaviness.
Tristan Müller (guitar), Yanco Przyborowski (bass) and Matthias Köhnen (drums) now let the amplifiers howl more often in a fuzz storm. The melodies have remained, but the foundation has become more solid. Light and shadow give way to an intense dynamic that rolls over the audience live like a physical wave.
Bloodflowers 2026 - this is no longer just a journey through the world of thoughts, but an energetic announcement. A story of courage and strength that is now told with even more pressure.

Düsseldorf's Neumatic Parlo not only cross the Rhine on their sonic journey, but also swim across the English Channel on their debut album play it as it lays: Drenched in the guitar sound of the early 90s, the five musicians skillfully take their place alongside UK greats of the recent past - fans of Shame, Squid or Dry Cleaning will get much more than their money's worth here, it all sounds so urgent, inventive and utterly un-German!

Inspired by Joan Didion's novel of the same name, Neumatic Parlo tell of lonely masses, aimless ambition and despair in the big city on play it as it lays. They carry Didion's urban fear of the future from days gone by into the present and make it all the more palpable in the process. Between the concrete towers of guitars, beautiful, astute lyrics proliferate, expressing the world-weariness of a disappointed urban romantic.

The ten songs on play it as it lays pelt down on us as a distorted shower, taking the necessary space and flooding it with contemporary stimuli. In an echo chamber of feedback loops, energetic riffs vie for the undivided attention they deserve. Over the length of the album, an emotional maelstrom unfolds that we simply cannot and do not want to escape. Neumatic Parlo have put so much attention to detail into their art that we want to say: There is hope after all!
