What is the soul of the blues? The Bluescats ft. Greg Copeland have set out in search of it and discovered that the journey is the destination. It is not the answer that is important but the search.

Greg Copeland was born in Virginia, lives in Hamelin and started his career as a singer after serving in the US Air Force. Together with him, the Bluescats have developed a program that traces the soul of the blues.

The starting point of the search is Greg's deep voice. When he enters the room, his stature is already impressive; but when he strikes the first note, you immediately feel transported back to the 69s of the last century, when blues and soul topped the charts together. He sings the blues from velvety soft to rough and the soul always resonates.

The Bluescats - Jens Filser, guitar, Bernd Oppel, drums, and Till Brandt, bass - once again show their flair for presenting a guest in the best possible way. With a modern groove and respect for tradition, they succeed in inspiring Greg Copeland in all his facets to top performances.

Half of the program "The Soul Of The Blues" consists of blues & soul classics and the other half of their own compositions, which they have developed together with Greg .
