BLEB 2025 - THEATER WORKSHOP "THE RAGE THAT REMAINS"

Mareike Fallwickl'snovel raises many questions: How do the men in the book experience what is happening, how do other living beings or even objects experience it? How do we deal with our own anger? How would the story unfold in other countries, cultures and societies? How did John's all-triggering first sentence sound - and what would have happened if he had not said it or had said it differently?

You can explore this and much more in our workshop using theatrical means. Under the guidance of Dominic Friedel, we will look at selected scenes from the novel, develop our own perspectives and act them out in a playful way.

A special offer for all those who want to go beyond reading and debate: You will experience the BLEB novel in a new and different way in small scenes together! The workshop takes place as a closed experiential space without spectators.

Dominic Friedel, born in 1980, is an acting director and theater therapist. He has directed at the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, Schauspiel Stuttgart, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Schauspielhaus Graz and Theater Bonn, among others. One focus of his work is participatory forms of theater; he has developed numerous projects with citizens' choirs and especially with children and young people with and without disabilities.
