With their seventh studio album "Angel or Alien", the US progressive metal band Born of Osiris makes an impressive return. The band from Palatine, Illinois (near Chicago), delivers the follow-up to their acclaimed album The Simulation - and takes their musical work to a new level.
"Angel or Alien" combines all the familiar strengths of Born of Osiris: technical brilliance, complex arrangements, aggressive vocals and a powerful rhythm section. But the album offers more than just pure heaviness - it shows a mature band that is breaking new musical ground without forgetting its roots. Structured songwriting, atmospheric interludes and even vocal surprises make the hour-long work a real experience for fans and newcomers alike.
The current line-up around founding members Joe Buras (keys/vocals), Ronnie Canizaro (vocals) and Cameron Losch (drums) is more stable than ever - with guitarist Nick Rossi, who has brought a breath of fresh air to the band since 2018, and long-time lead guitarist Lee McKinney. This cohesion is clearly audible on "Angel or Alien": tighter, more focused, musically more mature.
Born Of Osiris will be touring Europe with Within Destruction, Aversions Crown and Larcenia Roe.
