Bremen liest! Béatrice Hecht-El Minshawi liest aus "Reiseminiaturen"

In the organizer's words:

The author Béatrice Hecht-El Minshawi will be reading from "Travel Miniatures" as part of the Bremen literature festival "Bremen liest!".

Travelers are seekers. Traveling and spending time in other cultures and
and regions of the world can mean much more to people than a
a flight from one city to another. Béatrice Hecht-El Minshawi is a collector of
collector of encounters and impressions. In her search for
notes from earlier journeys, she discovered the fund of her lyrical texts
texts from five decades, from which she will read. In her book
"Encounters around the globe" is about her impressions of
and memories of countless journeys.

Béatrice Hecht-El Minshawi, born in 1947, worked in Vietnam during the Vietnam War
in Vietnam during the Vietnam War, then in Afghanistan from 1970 to 1972.
She completed her doctorate at the University of Bremen in 1988 on the subject of intercultural
relations.

The reading will be accompanied by music from
Jolanta Ziemska.
