Brig Huezo: PERREANDO/HARDCORE

In the organizer's words:

PERREANDO/HARDCORE is inspired by the online genre Traumacore: innocence meets darkness, candy-sticky cuteness creates discomfort. Trauma is not confessed, but creates its very own aesthetic structures, an unstable reality of dreamlike images and haunted places. PERREANDO/HARDCORE appropriates horror. Trauma is not resolved here through healing, but is made tangible as flickering and fragmentation. The play draws on horror novels as well as gaming culture. The stage is extended into digital space via three projections, and the dancers' bodies are connected to the creatures that live out their existence in virtual space via real-time tracking.
Every movement creates a digital echo, between tenderness and monstrosity. The hips are the central scene of these tensions: hidden, fetishized, punished, celebrated. Their grinding serves less to entertain than to resist - the rhythm of survival, an archive of experiences that are deeply anchored in muscular memory.
Musically, the piece combines atmospheric shoegaze with the energy of reggaeton. The result is a soundscape that is both atmospherically enraptured and physically immediate. Between gothic horror and Latin American futurism, digital decay and human sweat, PERREANDO/HARDCORE conjures up a melancholy nu-metal excess in which pain does not disappear, but insists on being seen, felt and danced to.
