Thomas Mann called the web of leitmotifs with which Wagner creates the extremely complex psychological-philosophical network between poetry and music "relational magic". Following his analysis of THE RHEINGOLD, published in 2021, the renowned conductor Will Humburg pursues this interplay in the "First Day" of THE RING OF THE NIBELUNG, the WALKÜRE, by simultaneously uncovering its symbolic deep structure with the musical fabric. Not only a fantastic, expressive conductor, but also a charismatic narrator, Will Humburg presents his findings at this book launch. The matinee will be complemented by a musical Wagner program.
