Buntspecht's pop music is characterized by a dystopian romanticism, a radical wild beauty, an insane intensity as well as a sincerity and artistic freedom that is unparalleled these days. The band entered the German charts for the first time with their extraordinary new album "Konstrukt 5".

Buntspecht are a captivating live band - once you've seen them, you'll never forget it. Almost every one of their songs opens up a new universe, points in a different direction, but all together they form an almost magical unity, a homogeneous work.

The Austrian band succeeds in creating a coherent whole from the multitude of their influences and thus a magically indulgent indie chamber pop sound. Nobody sounds like them right now. They are out there all alone.
