Camille Émaille and Nina Garcia have been crossing paths on European stages for several years. After several encounters in a trio with Maria Bertel and Arnaud Rivière and in the improvisation ensemble Le Un, they are now forging their own path as a duo.
A percussive guitar, feedback percussion: together they build a music that is concise, committed and profound, all improvised.

Camille Émaille, percussionist from a village in the Mercantour region in the Alpes Maritimes, completed her classical studies at the conservatories of Nice and Strasbourg before perfecting her skills in contemporary music and improvisation with Christian Dierstein and Fred Frith at the Music Academy in Basel (Switzerland), graduating with honors in percussion in 2018.
Considering her artistic-musical practice as components of the world and life, as cells of all things, independent of a fixed time and place, she has developed projects "outside the box". The collective #, of which she was an organizing member and musician, produced "wild" concerts in places that are usually closed to the public but have a strong history and acoustics. In October 2015, she organized the first edition of the MYOSOTIS festival of free, traditional and experimental music in a desecrated former synagogue in Alsace.

She currently tours mainly as a soloist, in a trio with GÉSIR, a group consisting of Jean-Luc Guionnet on organ and Julien Dessailly on bagpipes, with OTTO, consisting of Gabriel Valtchev and Pol Small, where all three play the tapan (Bulgarian percussion), and with the immersive piece "MA", which she created together with Xavière Fertin on clarinet and Baptise Joxe on light, the group Aquaserge, which she joined for her project "Perdu dans un étui de guitare", the group Urs Graff Consort around Prune Béchau and Adrien Bardibienenstock with variable geometry, the large improvisation ensemble "Le Un", the quartet ESCARGOT with Tom Malmendier on drums, Louis Frères on bass and Xavière Fertin on clarinet.

Since 2015, Nina Garcia has been researching and creating around the electric guitar, halfway between improvised music and noise. Her instruments are reduced to a minimum: a guitar, a pedal, an amplifier, with which she shapes sounds and immerses herself in chaos to bring out the unheard.
In her solo Mariachi, the emphasis is on the gesture and the exploration of the instrument, its resonances, its limits, its extensions, its impurities, its audible niches: going with it or against it, containing it or making it sound, supporting it or violating it. There is feedback, crackling, short circuits, jolts, overtones, squeaks and, by chance, almost perfect tones and chords.

Nina Garcia also plays in a duo with the Danish trombonist Maria Bertel, in a trio with the Swiss musicians Antoine Chessex (saxophone) and Louis Schild (bass) and in Autoreverse with Arnaud Rivière. She has been a member of the improvisation ensemble Le Un since 2019.
In 2020/2021, she will be in residence at GRM for a commissioned work for the Présences Électroniques festival.
Nina Garcia has been selected for the European program SHAPE PLATFORM 2019.

She has been involved in the organization of concerts and the dissemination and mediation of experimental music for almost 10 years. Until 2021, Nina Garcia was in charge of the cultural activities of the Instants Chavirés, the epicentre of experimental music in France, after which she co-organized the concerts in 2020 and 2021.
She is also involved in experimental music education and runs workshops for art students (EsadHar, Le Havre, 2017) and for children in schools (Le DOC, Saint-Germain d'Ectot, 2022).
