CANCER BATS have been a fixture in the Canadian metal and punk scene since their formation in 2004. With their fusion of hardcore, southern rock and punk rock, they have been nominated several times for the Juno, the Canadian Grammy.

We had the opportunity to bring the band around singer Liam Cormier to Braunschweig at short notice and immediately jumped at the chance.

With seven albums already under their belt, CANCER BATS have managed to play their way into the hearts of those who like punk rock attitude as well as heavy dirt and mosh . A band that has internalized the positive empowering attitude of hardcore despite their diverse musical influences.
Their last release PSYCHIC JAILBREAK won over die-hard fans and critics alike. CANCER BATS once again prove that their party metal anthems are timeless.

With a steady stream of independent releases since 2014, Quebec City natives DON'T TRY have shown time and time again that they have no shortage of infectious riffs and groovy rhythms. Fusing garage rock influences and textures with hardcore/punk mosh parts and singalongs, they have made it their mission to create a unique blend of heavy music.

For their latest EP "Cries of Domination" (2025), the band teamed up with producer Wade MacNeil (Alexisonfire, Gallows) and mixer Jon Markson (Drug Church, GEL) to bring us their most unruly and aggressive work to date. Another step towards manifesting their place in the underground music scene.
