O Fortuna, you are changeable like the moon. This is howCarl Orff begins and ends his most famous work, reflecting on changing fortunes and the inevitable cycle of human destiny. Carmina Burana, an anthology of medieval songs, celebrates the beauty of spring, pays homage to life and praises the power of love. With his music to these texts, Orff provides the basis for a sensual Gesamtkunstwerk and deliberately places the scenic design in the hands of the director and choreographer. Alba Castillo and the Dance Company invite the colleagues from the music theater, orchestra and choir to a joint exploration of happiness, prosperity, love and its transience.

"Carmina Burana" was the first piece in which I danced on stage as a child. Now I get to choreograph it myself. The circle is complete."
