Leipzig-based musician CARY pours fragile emotions into powerful songs - somewhere between dark pop and honest self-confrontation. Her voice sounds vulnerable, but always full of hope. She seems almost mystical on stage, while her songs could hardly be more approachable and personal. CARY sings about depression, the cut with her family and the feeling of being lost in this world - sometimes hypnotizingly whispering, sometimes full of unbreakable strength. Her album "Allein oder Einsam", released in 2025, was named "Album of the Week" by Der Spiegel. It is dedicated to a feeling that characterizes an entire generation: loneliness. Their concerts feel like joint therapy sessions: screaming, crying and feeling understood.

On January 7, we are devoting ourselves to the topic of mental health. With GANZ NAH, CARY will then present a special acoustic concert in a sensitive setting. Beforehand, we will be showing the debut film SORRY, BABY by US director Eva Victor. The concert will be followed by a discussion with the musician and Corinna Klinger, psychologist, therapist and psychiatry coordinator for the city of Leipzig. There will be room for exchange, understanding and new perspectives.

The evening is presented in cooperation with the Leipzig Alliance against Depression, Rausgegeangen and the Schaubühne Lindenfels.
