Celebrating John - Stefanie Hempel Band & Special Guests

John Lennon would have been 85 years old on October 9, 2025. December 8 marks the 45th anniversary of his death. To mark the occasion, Hamburg's Beatles expert Stefanie Hempel and her musical Beatles family will be reviving John Lennon's wonderfully poetic, uncompromising and deeply emotional work on two evenings at the FABRIK.

After the grandiose Paul and George birthday shows, Stefanie and her band can now "finally" pay musical tribute to Hempel's great first love, John. Here in Hamburg, the city about which Lennon said: "We grew up in Hamburg, not Liverpool."

As always, Hempel & Band have invited many well-known artists from various genres to celebrate John Lennon's great songs and melodies, his spirit and his incomparable charisma. The raw Hamburg sound, the most beautiful Beatles songs and his intense solo work will be celebrated. From "Nowhere Man" and "Strawberry Fields" to "Instant Karma", Lennon's fragility in "Jealous Guy", his confession of faith in "God", the rock'n'roll in "Revolution", his humor in "Norwegian Wood" or the world-changing anthemic power in "Imagine".
