The 4 musicians of the Marburg chanson quartet Trulleberg present a wide-ranging program and combine stylistic contrasts from chansons, rock and pop, singer-songwriters, musicals, folk and film music to the new German wave of the 80s. Thought-provoking chanson lines are followed by seemingly banal rock lyrics, time-critical verses from yesterday and today are juxtaposed with love songs of extraordinary depth. Klaus Hoffmann, James Brown, The Beatles, Loreena McKennitt, Georges Moustaki, Abba, Yann Tiersen, Herbert Grönemeyer or Rio Reiser: the unifying element with Trulleberg is the playfulness of the arrangements, the unusual choice of pieces and the incomparable sound when Walter Hoyer (accordion), Gerd Schiebl (cello), Stephanie Hankammer (violin) and Christian Wustrau (guitar) together invite you on a journey through time and style.
