Charley's Aunt
A comedy in three acts by Brandon Thomas

The two students Jack and Charley are deeply in love. But in 19th century England, young women can only be invited to your house with a chaperone. When Charley's wealthy aunt arrives from Brazil, the solution seems within reach. But the aunt is a long time coming. Without further ado, Babberley, a friend of the two lovers, has to step in in drag. What follows is a turbulent comedy full of misunderstandings, disguises and love stories, brought to the stage by students from the Albrecht-Bengel-Haus.

For more than a hundred years, "Charley's Aunt" by Brandon Thomas has been delighting audiences with its wit and endearing irony. The play shows with great charm how easily fixed rules can be shaken when love comes into play.

The theater in the Albrecht-Bengel-Haus in Derendingen has a long tradition. Intensive rehearsals last a semester, props are procured from the LTT and the stage set is built. The premiere is on Sunday, 04.01. 19:00. Further performances will follow on Monday, 05.01.25, Wednesday, 07.01.24 (both at 19:00) and Tuesday, 06.01.24 (17:00). Admission is half an hour before the start of each event.
