Collective fears are on the rise: of war, climate catastrophes, pandemics. Lurking in the shadows of these publicly discussed fears are other, individual fears, often shamefully hidden, such as the fear of emptiness, loss of meaning, social ostracism and loneliness. Director Christan Fries - last seen at the Pumpenhaus with the projects POOR BOY ÄGISTH and PEREC: VERSUCH EINEN PLATZ IN PARIS ZU ERFASSEN - dedicates a dance and theater project to these fears, which everyone endures alone in their "empty land". These fears impose themselves. They paralyze. They block the breath. They make you tremble. Fries focuses on physical expression. He translates AnXt feelings into expressive dance and play scenes, giving them a form. And thus shows that it helps to communicate these deep fears.
