Swing is not a style, but a way of life - at least if Andrej Hermlin has his way. Andrej Hermlin and his Swing Dance Orchestra is one of the most charming and successful big bands in Germany. The musicians have dedicated themselves from head to toe to a musical era that produced names such as Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington - true to style and also visually down to the smallest detail.

With their "Christmas Swing" program, they have created a wonderful, romantic Christmas revue that is unparalleled in this country. Famous American Christmas melodies are performed in authentic arrangements by David Hermlin in the style of the 1930s to 1950s. Against a magical backdrop, the ensemble combines musically contemplative moments with grooving, festive swing on the day before Christmas Eve - with tailor-made wardrobe, old microphones and original instruments. It's simply fun to watch, not to mention the acoustic delights offered by this outstanding orchestra. A concert that really gets you in the mood for Christmas.
