"August Stories" Live
The Christoph Titz Quartet invites you to an evening of musical storytelling with instruments. The focus is on the new album August Stories, which will be released on August 1, 2025. This very personal music was created in the summer of 2024 - a month that Christoph Titz spent alone in Berlin. With no distractions, just books, thoughts and his trumpet. This special time resulted in ten pieces that tell little stories: of moods, encounters and inner images.
August Stories is Christoph Titz's first purely acoustic album - piano trio and trumpet, without electronics or synthesizers. The music tells stories in its very own language: from touching ballads and atmospheric soundscapes to fast, jazzy tracks full of energy. Sometimes lyrical and transparent, sometimes groovy and playful, sometimes virtuosic and captivating.
Refreshing, surprising, fast, slow, beautiful, sometimes brittle, virtuoso, casual, melodious, groovy, original and entertaining.
This is the music of Christoph Titz & Band.
This sonorous storytelling journey is presented by Christoph Titz together with his fantastic band: Alfonso Garrido (dr-perc), Juan Camilo Villa (bass) and Gero Körner (piano-keys).
A varied evening in which the music tells the stories - between improvisation, expression and joy of playing.
