Yellow Letters - May 7, 7:30 pm

Derya (Özgü Namal) and Aziz (Tansu Biçer), a celebrated artist couple from Ankara, lead a full life with their 13-year-old daughter Ezgi - until an incident at the premiere of their new play changes everything. Overnight, they are targeted by the state and lose their job and their home. They move to Istanbul, where they temporarily stay with Aziz's mother. After the internationally acclaimed and award-winning film THE TEACHER'S ROOM, Oscar®-nominated director İlker Çatak once again presents an explosive and gripping masterpiece with YELLOW LETTERS.

Every first Thursday of the month, CINESCAPE° presents contemporary film art between politics, aesthetics and society. Let's be honest: when do you ever see something like this on the big screen? Visionary directors, outstanding actors and stories that move us. All films are shown in the original version with German subtitles (OmU) so that the authentic charm is not lost. And always in combination with good bar evenings - cheers!

Information on accessibility

SCAPE° is barrier-free accessible via a ground-level entrance (self-opening sliding door). There are no stairs or inclines in the exhibition rooms. The barrier-free and wheelchair-accessible WC has transfer aids, an emergency call facility and an angle-adjustable mirror. People with disabilities can bring their assistance dogs with them.
