In this new solo, Claire Cunningham asks what it means to wander. To attempt to scale great heights. What can we learn from those of us who reach for the ground as four-legged creatures on crutches? What does it mean to keep going and to know with wisdom when to turn back?

Guided by her life experience as a disabled person, her memories of her training as a classical singer, her knowledge of the world of mountaineering and, above all, Gustav Mahler's "Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen", Claire Cunningham sets out to traverse landscapes both known and unknown. Through the lens of crip*, Cunningham challenges us to pay closer attention to how we move through the physical world in the face of profound loss and change in our lives.

* Crip is a political and cultural identity used by some disabled people as a self-designation.
